Tieback Equipment
Tieback Equipment
Allows the liner to be tied back to the surface. Tieback liners are also used to cover the top of an existing liner that’s leaking or to cover an intermediate casing worn by drilling or corrosion.
The success of a tieback installation depends on matching tieback system performance with your wellbore conditions and requirements.
In some installations, the burst rating of the tieback receptacle must match that of the tieback string.
The pressure performance of conventional tiebacks is limited by restricted radial space in which to design a receptacle, as well as practical restrictions on tieback metallurgy. The Tieback Seal Assembly collapse rating should also be evaluated.
Constraints of of space availability and metallurgy may limit a standard approach to tieback design.
