Liner Hangers
Liner Hangers
Liner Hangers are used to set a liner in place for cementing an extension to existing casing, to replace a full casing string, to isolate damaged zones, or to tie back to the surface.
Mechanical-Set Liner Hangers
Mechanical-Set Liner Hangers suspend a liner from an intermediate casing string. The hanger body and slips transfer the liner weight to the casing. This transfer is accomplished by picking up the work string and torquing to the right or left to disengage the slotted cage from the lug on the hanger body. By slacking-off the liner weight the slips attached to the cage are allowed to be entraped between the cone on the hanger body and the casing wall, setting the hanger in place.
Continuing to slack-off to neutral weight prepares for disengaging from the setting tool, which is accomplished by rotating to the right. This will allow the setting tool to be retrieved after cementing.
Mechanical-Set Liner Hangers are also available in multi-cone configurations which increases hanging capacity and bypass areas.
To meet your well requirements, we offer different models of Mechanical-Set Hangers.

Hydraulic-Set Liner Hangers
Hydraulic-Set Liner Hangers suspend liners from intermediate casing without the need to rotate the work string and liner to set the hanger. This hanger is designed for running long, heavy liners in highly deviated holes.
It is also helpful when going through the top of a previously set liner, an off-center B.O.P. stack, running a liner off a floater or semi-submersible, or when used as a mid-string liner.
Hydraulic-Set Liner Hangers are available in single or multi-cone configurations to increase hanging capacity and bypass areas.
